Tips? Hmm...I don't know if I have any tips...Well, It may sound silly but one thing that I do is play with the fondant. Like, the night before actually building the cake, if you happen to have an extra batch of fondant (or if like me, you make your own), experiment with it. It's ok if you mess up, just keep on trying new stuff. And fondant is pretty forgiving so if you didn't put any coloring in it as testing, you can always form it back into a ball and use it the next day if it's still pretty and white.

you make your own fondant? *faints* i do not have the patience for that. thought I should probably start doing that so I don't have to waste any more money then i already do. I guess you could say I just started out with my cakes thats why I asked for tips. But you did help.
